Mia and I drove off in the dark one night and headed north to Sonoma ~ to the beautiful wine country up the coast of California ~ to visit Anne at her new university (a mere 6 1/2 hour drive from Los Angeles if you drive like Mario Andretti.) From there, San Francisco is just an hour away, heading back down the coast, and I couldn't resist. Oh how I love that city.
Watching Anne and Mia together again : priceless. Sharing the best eggs florentine and corned beef hash ever for brunch at Joe's : worth every penny, and then some. You see, eating together is one of the things Anne and I do best.
I discovered a new-to-me shop up there called Beverly's. I spent an hour walking every aisle and picked up some of the prettiest trim I've seen in a while.
And when I returned home from our whirlwind oh-too-short visit, these fabrics were waiting for me in my mailbox. I'd been looking for them online for quite a while. In case you've been searching too, I got them from here. (It's Messy Jesse's shop!)
What's your fave thing to do in San Francisco or Sonoma? Have any fun things you can point me to for my next visit? I'm all ears.
