Three weeks ago I had an eternity to plan out Olivia's birthday party and in the midst of everyday life I've lost track of time... now I have less than a week to do something princess-y, pink and wonderful! Hmmmm... I wonder if I have enough time to get some of those big round 36" balloons shipped to me? Have you seen them? They're ginormous. Not these... (as pretty as these are)...

And in those colors. Because Olivia knows exactly what she wants now she's no longer a baby. She is no longer content with Nicholas' trains and cars, no. In fact, she has made it quite clear that she wants a Cinderella cake this birthday... the kind with the doll sticking out on top (rolling my eyes)... and so she'll have it. Luckily I have only a small party to plan, but imagine my surprise when I realized there is less than a week left. Now you know how absent minded I am about time.
But someone was thinking about it. Yesterday, a surprise package arrived in the mail. It was a small parcel of goodies from Heather Hales (thank you sooo much, H!) that included this beautiful party hat for Olivia's birthday...
No doubt about it, party hats were on my to-do list, but thanks to Heather I have less (or, we'll see how things go, maybe none) to make myself now. And the one Heather made is just perfect. Even my son said, "can I try it on? Take my picture, mom." Okay...
Very odd that he asked me to take his picture. He's becoming like Anne and he doesn't care much for my camera anymore. Well, life is full of surprises. Thanks for a good one, Heather!
