It's my mom's birthday today, woohoo! So I called her this morning to say, "I'm a little late with your gift, but I'm going to finish it today. Take a look at my blog later and you'll see it." I thought I'd be all done with it, but dang, still not yet! I am, quite possibly, the world's slowest sewer and stitcher. And then, of course, the kids want to be picked up from school, they want to eat, they want to tell me all kinds of important things about playdoh and a girl named Nancy, they want to fight and be consoled, they want... TOO MUCH!
So, it's not finished, Mom, but you get the idea...
Mmmm, chocolate chip cookies, our favorite... (really Mom uses chocolate chunks and not chips, so my "cookies" are rather accurate, though flat). All I have to do is finish stitching down those chocolate chunks and I think it's done! Ready to be turned into a pillow, as I had planned it to be, or a mini quilt if she prefers it. It measures 16" x 16" and is filled with little tiny stitches. And yes, love.
Wish I could be there to celebrate with ya, Mom. Happiest Birthday wishes! xoxo Amy
