I'm really not quite sure why it's taken me so long to finish this baby quilt, but it's finished at last! Yay Baylea (who's still warm and snug and growing, getting ready for her November arrival!) She will be the newest addition to the family on my sister-in-law's side.
The quilt is super simple ~ strips of fabric and a row of circles that were appliqued and embroidered. I suppose what took me so long is that I got stumped on how to do the quilting. I thought about doing a scallop design, or random circles all over, but in the end I stitched horizontal lines throughout. By hand, of course. I love how the lines look now that it's been washed.
And now that this is done I can get back to my to-do list and that long list of quilts I've been itchin' to make. This last pic was taken practically in the dark, so I've turned it into my "artistic" shot...
I just figured you'd probably like to see the whole thing at once (thank you, Nicholas!)
Well, I wish you all a fun day today... I've got an 8 mile run and a date with my husband tonight! Happy Friday!!
