You know those tea towels at Anthropologie that are so pretty you want to buy one of each and hang 'em in your kitchen and never ever lay a dirty finger on one even if the house blew up in flames? You know the ones. Every time I'm in that store I get inspired to make tea towels but by the time I reach my sewing machine I've been thoroughly distracted. I'm happy to say I finally made another one (I have made one or two in the past), and I'm fairly pleased with it. Also, the sun made an appearance Thursday afternoon, so I got my pics afterall. This towel is made of mint linen, a ruffle in lime, vintage-looking daisies, antique lace, a few buttons, and a hexagon flower...
I enjoyed making this one, though working with linen is a bit tough for me. It moves all over the place and distorts so easily... does anyone else feel this way or is it just me? Well I'm hoping to make a few more of these as gifts... I've got a few people on my list ;)
