This morning I woke up feeling thankful for all that I have... and my next lucid thought was to wipe out the day's to-do list. Let's face it: I've got a lot on my plate, and having no expectations of actually getting anything done is becoming the only way to save my sanity. When you expect nothing, anything more than that is gravy. So today I got gravy.
That bib up there? Today I finished that bib for my niece who is expecting a baby boy whose name will be Roman. Can't wait to meet him. And the bib was sorta inspired by a pillow sham I made for Nicholas a few weeks ago...
The pillow was no small feat, since it all revolved around some Super Mario Bros. fabric that I had to order from Japan. 'Boy stuff' is hard for me. It's not easy and I don't love working with licensed character fabric but Nicholas really wanted it. Even though I think he's already more into Star Wars now, than Mario. Snap.
Well, besides the bib and snapping a bunch of pics, today mostly was spent hanging out with Mia. She is absolutely the reason why nothing gets done these days... but you knew that, right?
(Since we didn't go anywhere today, the little ones ran around the house in their underwear like jungle kids most of the day. It's been so hot lately.) I didn't even get to the market to buy food for dinner. Instead, when my husband got home from work, I went out for a leisurely 4 mile run and we ordered pizza for dinner. Not a bad day at all...
