Okay, so I lied. Things happened on Friday that I didn't expect ~ like Nicholas staying home from school with a fever, a late afternoon nap with Mia, and then a date with my husband that night. Mostly they were... good... unexpected things, though Nicholas is still a little under the weather. By the way, thanks for the sweet comments on my last blog post. If anything encourages me to keep blogging it's hearing from you guys.
I finished quilting the little "abc" quilt and I bound it by hand with a favorite Japanese print I bought a long time ago. It says "happy sweet collection" on the selvage but I haven't been able to find it anywhere since. For the backing, I used Tanya Whelan's Sugar Hill plaid. Love it.
I realize these pics don't show the quilt very well and I really want to show you the crazy amount of stitches I put in this thing, so I'll take more pics later. Right now I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies with Liv... despite this sweltering heat...
