Is it too much to ask time to slow down just a bit?
These photos of our "balcony garden" were taken almost a month ago. It's a jungle out there now. The tomato plant has more than quadrupled, there's Italian squash almost ready to pick, pumpkins, basil, chives, parsley, cilantro, rosemary. Only the strawberry seeds didn't grow. (I'll try again.)
I'm feeling quite bittersweet about the end of the school year. Though this year is very different for us ~ Anne is graduating from high school next week. Last week she went to prom...
She's chosen a university... and she'll be leaving in the fall. Ack. Too much "life" is happening around here for my taste.
Not to mention, it's Mia's birthday. Yes. A year ago, my baby girl entered the world quite suddenly... a teeny tiny 4 lbs. and 11 ounces.
Now, look at her ~ my wonder girl. Stop growing so fast. Before I know it she'll be off to college, too.
Meanwhile, Nicholas is waiting patiently for his pillow. Olivia is waiting for her quilt to be finished. And a hundred other things are put aside while the world spins about me. I just need a moment to catch my breath.

{ I did the cross stitches during a trip to Las Vegas a few weeks ago. I made the x's too big in the bunny so I made my stitches smaller for the bear. What do you think? }
