Hello! Welcome to Week 2 of the Quilty Fun Sew Along and Blog Tour! We're celebrating the fabulous and sweet Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet and her first book, "Quilty Fun: Lessons in Scrappy Patchwork by Lori Holt." If you haven't checked it out, Kerry of verykerryberry introduced both perfectly at Week 1 of the blog tour.
This week we'll be making Twinkly Winter Stars and I think you're going to love these fun little blocks. They're tiny, they're cute, and easy to make ~ definitely favorite things of mine in the sewing world.
So, you've got your book, right?
Sewn your apples? (Oh, they look delicious, I love the fabrics you've all chosen. See 'em all here.)
Ok, now download this week's PDF companion sheet and open your "Quilty Fun" book to page 36. Time to sew some Twinkly Winter Stars!
Eek! Aren't they the cutest? You can really see Lori's personality in her work. I was fascinated reading more about her in Quilty Fun's intro pages. It comes as no surprise to me that Lori comes from a "quilting family" (born with a needle in her hand?!) because she's so good at sharing her knowledge, her tips and tricks. I followed her methods to make my blocks and it was fun!
Enter the Giveaway!
Add pics of your Twinkly Winter Stars to the Quilty Fun Flickr Group and you'll be entered for a chance to win The Angler 2, a quilter's ruler made for sewing angles. Would you like to see how Lori sews with her Angler 2? Check out the video here!
Three winners will be chosen for this giveaway! So, add your pics (and see all the other Twinkly Winter Stars) and the three lucky winners will be announced Monday, November 18th over at the Jolly Jabber.
Have some Quilty Fun and good luck to you!
