Picking fabric for Olivia + Mia's new quilt is fun. It's the best part, isn't it? So fun to play with color and pattern when you're not yet committed to anything. At that point ~ where you're simply pulling prints from the shelves and throwing them all together in a pile ~ it's easy to feel like a quilting genius because fabric always looks amazing in a careless casual pile. So, today, I'm a quilting genius.
My starting-off point is this Alexander Henry print called "paris park" that I bought several years ago. There's a hefty two yards of it, I think, and that may or may not be a consideration when making my pattern. The only thing I know for sure is my color scheme: pink | blue. 'Cause those are Mia and Livi's fave colors.
I'll be adding to the pile, and discarding, I'm sure. But I like what I've got so far. What do you think?
