I like having a pouch or tote for each and everything ~ a gym bag, a pouch for first-aid in my purse, a bag for the La Passacaglia quilt I haven't yet started, a bag for my Lighthearted hexagon quilt, a travel tote for cross-stitch projects, etc. Lately I've been needing a bag for my calendar and notebooks and most notably for a sketchbook (that I haven't yet picked out). Sooo, it didn't take long for me to decide what to do with my Blogger's Choice Bundle ~ available at Fat Quarter Shop.
Those fat quarters were a lot of fun to play with. I chose ten of the 12 prints…
… and added in a favorite solid to make some triangle patchwork for my new Portfolio tote. I kinda like it a lot.
When I started on this, I wasn't sure if I was going to make an artist's portfolio (with open sides) or a bag, but I think I made the right choice. Adding in some of the details was a lot of fun.
Now I'm ready to find that perfect sketchbook! p.s. the back has a little pocket, too.
How I love that Maker print!
