Good decisions beget good decisions. I consciously decided last week I no longer want to "burn my candle at both ends" (it will not last the night ~ Millay?) I just can't any longer. My family, my health and sanity, and even my work have suffered. It's time to slow down. Do less ~ but do it better. More focus, more intention, less hamster-on-a-wheel action. Right after that decision, I packed up my entire family in our mondo-van and drove us up north to see Anne (my oldest, she goes to Sonoma State University.) Road trip!! We hung out in San Francisco, drove out to Sebastopol and Bodega Bay. On our way home we hit up Pinnacles National Park, which was my fave family hiking trip ever. (More than Montana d'Oro, more than Julia Pfeiffer Burns, I loved Pinnacles. And if you're interested at all, we entered through the East entrance and hiked the Bear Gulch trails. Don't forget your flashlight for the caves and go soon before it's too hot!)
p.s. So good. But soon I'll have the whole East coast to explore as we're moving to Williamsburg, Virginia this summer. Know of any great adventures anywhere around Virginia? I'd love to know.
Now, for the reason you all actually come visit me here... there is so much good stuff coming soon I promise! A whole gang of amazing makers and I have been sewing with Playground fabrics to get my booth ready for Quilt Market. I'll be sharing all that next. Happy Spring, friends! xo
